Information You Submit
Text entered in a search form, such as a name, telephone number, or address, goes to the third-party provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them only to answer.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs containing an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. Aggregated log data helps maintain the site and show which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How the Data Is Used
The limited data described above supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual user profiles.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Montgomery County and Maryland portals, court offices, library collections, or third-party search tools. Information submitted after leaving this site is controlled by the destination's privacy policy. Sponsored search results are also supplied by an outside company under its own rules.
Parties That May Process Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data already described. Data may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; otherwise, visitor information is not shared.
Safeguarding Your Data
An encrypted connection serves the site. Server logs are kept only as long as the stated purposes require. Since there are no user accounts, this site holds no visitor password or account profile.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if a minor submitted such information so it can be deleted.
Your Maryland Privacy Rights
The Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA), effective October 1, 2025, gives Maryland residents rights concerning covered commercial processing, including access, correction, deletion, and opting out of sale or sharing. The law generally allows one free request every 12 months. Because we hold very little, a request will usually involve checking contact messages and server logs. Submit it through the Contact page. MODPA excludes publicly available information from its definition of personal data, and records held by Montgomery County or Maryland custodians remain outside our control. Requests to correct or restrict an official record must go to its custodian.
Policy Changes
Any revised policy will appear here. Using the site after a revision is posted signifies acceptance of the updated terms.
